Cynthia C. Lie is a judge of the California 6th District Court of Appeal. She took office on August 30, 2021. Her current term ends January 2, 2023. Career At the time appointed to the state supreme court, Lie was a judge of the Superior Court of Santa Clara County. From 2003 to 2014, Lie served as assistant public federal defender for San Jose Branch of the Office of the Federal Public Defender, Northern District of California. Before was a staff attorney for the City and County of San Francisco Office of Citizen Complaints. Lie worked as a litigation associate at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter and Hampton LLP. From 1995 to 2000, she served as deputy public defender for San Diego County. Elections and appointments 2022 Cynthia C.
