TO SAN JOAQUIN SUPERIOR COURT BENCH The Judges of the Superior Court of California, County of San Joaquin are pleased to announce that former Chief Deputy District Attorney Michael Mulvihill will soon take the oath of office as San Joaquin County’s newest Superior Court Judge. Mr. Mulvihill was elected to the bench by the voters of San Joaquin County during the general election this past November. Prior to his election to the bench, Mr. Mulvihill worked for the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office for 16 years. His career with the District Attorney’s office is distinguished. In 1998, Mulvihill was hired as a Deputy District Attorney assigned to the Domestic Violence Unit. He quickly became the lead felony prosecutor in the Domestic Violence Unit for the Violence Against Women’s Act Grant. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to the Gang Prosecution Unit where he vertically prosecuted major violent gang crimes, including murder. In May 2005, Mulvihill was promoted to Supervising Deputy District Attorney for the Family Crimes Unit, which involved prosecuting domestic violence, stalking, elder Abuse (physical and financial) and real-estate fraud cases.
