We had a wonderful first meeting with Carolyn. She promised to follow/up with an operational plan . The plan never came nor did an explanation why she was missing in action. Pretty strange way for a fiduciary to conduct business.

I should have checked YELP first before Carolyn M. Young Fiduciary services( Lindsay Bowman) were hired to take over my oldest deceased brother’s estate. I did not hire her, my youngest screwed up brother did. She was recommended by an attorney who works in conjunction with her firm. She also handled my deceased mother’s estate subsequent to my above oldest brother’s death. She will return calls right away with you thinking you have hired an efficient firm. The phone calls and responses ceased. She also took the easy way rather than the ethical way of handling a situation that required advice from two attorneys. It appeared she felt, do the least you can, and get paid for doing nothing. My youngest brother stole guns from my deceased brother’s home which should have been court ordered to be returned to the estate. The attorney didn’t even file an order, so my brother walked away with approximately $3500. My husband and I were helpful to her firm as we had promised. We sold my brother’s guitars, amplifier etc. returning the checks to the estate. We never received a thank you, or a thank you for the sale of hundreds of wines from my deceased brother’s wine cellar that I found a buyer for. I can’t believe she is still in business after reading the reviews. Shameful! I still haven’t gotten an accounting required by law from her. She blames her attorney he blames her. She and her attorney ” forgot about the case for eight months”! He even told my attorney( that I had to hire)” he forgot”! What kind of business practice is that !!
Stay away from Carolyn M . Young/ Lindsay Bowman fiduciary. Do your research- read YELP first.

I found this “conservator ” not at all interested in saving someone else’s money as it will be too late once she files a court accounting. She will over pay for services wasting and depleting your family’s estate while using conservator funds if you decide to object in court. You must do your own homework.

We were thrilled to get our family trust into the hands of a neutral, experienced professional. That changed within the first week and got worse (much) over time. All told it took 2+ years to get her out of our lives. In the process soooo much money from the trust got wasted — and we couldn’t do anything but sit by helplessly.

If you have an elderly loved one, beware of her agenda. You may think she’s administering the trust to make sure your loved one can live as he/she wants for the rest of his/her life. That’s not the plan. We found this out when we got a nasty threat letter from an attorney — paid for with OUR trust money, of course!
At the most basic level communication and transparency are missing. So is accountability to you, the client.
But that’s minor compared to the real problem. Carolyn Young has her own agenda which she doesn’t tell you up front. She doesn’t tell you until she’s ready to go over your head and get the court to rubber stamp approve it.
It’s like getting sucker punched.
We will not soon forget this unpleasant, toxic experience. We’ll be paying for it for a long time, too.
Hopefully other families can be spared the harsh lessons we learned the hard and expensive (both emotionally and financially) way.

Our family used Carolyn M Young Fiduciary Services to act as trustee and excute our mothers trust. From the beginning, she gave us minimal information and help in answering our questions. She did not return phone calls or answer e-mails when we wrote to her with specific questions. She made a difficut and stressful time in our familirs lives much more so with her apparent lack of interest in bringing our family trust to a conclusion.

ZERO STARS…this company lied to me and my friend until they got their hooks into her pension and Social Security. They are not looking out for her interests: tricked her into going to group home and disposed of her entire house full of belongings against her wishes. STAY AWAY FROM Carolyn M Young Fiduciary Services! Update: We got out of the claws of C Young via a court order. In her pre-submitted statement to the court, Lindsay Bowman (Carolyn Young’s daughter) lied abut me. I was so mad, I had a prepared statement with their numerous dereliction’s listed and my defense of her lies, but I didn’t need to speak on the Zoom hearing because the judge reassigned my friend, which was such a relief. In the beginning of the C Young nightmare, right after my friend was taken away, they did not secure her home, someone entered and I’m sure had their pick of whatever they wanted, when CY removed all of the belongings they failed to clean out the packed refrigerator for at least TEN months, in that time, rats infested, water leaked. I notified them of the situation several times and in her court statement, Bowman blamed me for turning on the water and said I broke in to the home. I had permission to be there, plus they never even bothered to lock the back door. I could show you a pic of her stove top with over 100 rat droppings but it is disgusting, I can’t show you the smell that about knocked me over. Please do not trust Carolyn Young Fiduciary services with your loved ones’ finances when they are at their most vulnerable times of their adult lives!

I am shocked that ALL of the negative reviews of Ms Young have been removed!! This says to me that she is using lawyers overnight to remove these reviews and I have developed an extreme distrust of HELP as I believe it is in a conspiracy to aid certain businesses. Ms. Young removed $500 from my father bank account and DID NOT ACCOUNT FOR IT. The judge in the private court briefest me for saying that I knew he stole it.!! After my Dad died 1 month after this judge granted her conservator of his estate, Finally in a proceeding court papers showed she used that money $500 to pay HER attorney. Still not showing any paperwork as to WHY she secreted that $500!!! This all happened in December 2013 to June 2014. My father died in June 12, 2014 and though that judge forced my father into a conservatory he protested against, it had not THANKS TO HIS been executed. My father died June 12 2014 and Ms. Young received the rights on June June 16, 2014, the day after FATHERS DAY. The only silver lining I see in the irony in the timing of his death is that he did not suffer this woman directing his life even though for the last month of his life he would ask the same words, Did that woman call yet.?the this This was not the only issue with Me zyoung, in January 2014 she gave me $500 to purchase all our household supplies, though my father’s incontinence supplies cost $200 alone. She also refused to pay me the 3500 the VS allotted to me as his caregiver.. I’m December of 2013 she only have me $1500 of the money I was supposed to get. My father wanted to go out to eat often and she DECIDED that he couldn’t and refused to allow money for that saying that “he shouldn’t have to pay for your foid” even my radar and I would take turns paying for outings even though it was my radar who mostly wanted to eat out!. My Dad was 85 and had been profoundly blind for the last 10 years of his life. I had 4 sisters who didn’t like that I was spending ” DADDIES MONEY ” taking him out of the hiuse to do outings. I.e. “spending their inheritance”. The judge did not even take into account the amount of savings my father had and even included MY stipend as part of my Dad’s income. Ms.. Young is part of a court system that runs on fees collected from sick, old disable children and adults. Then had the audacity to turn their noses up at people like me who put our lives on hold to care for our loved one’s, are we supposed to be indentured slaves?? I see Ms. Young drives a very expensive car and probably lives in a very nice house , but she doesn’t get up at 3am to help a blind disabled 85 year old to the bathroom, does she??

The conservator/fiduciary services at CMY are absolutely opposite of any positive results. The State of California needs to fully investigate these practices of taking elders' property for this FOR PROFIT fiduciary and her team of lawyers. Yes you are right, Yelp is helping to promote her questionable business practices, as our courts have no trained staff to catch a thief, and as the Professional Fiduciary Board ignores competent complaints. People do your own investigation of her court filings.

This woman and her cronies should be put in jail. Positive reviews are clearly fakes. They get their hands on vulnerable adults with funds, tear apart families, and destroy lives. They will stop at nothing to raid bank accounts. Do whatever you can to avoid having anything to do with this firm.

Not sure how CMY and Zachary Young can live with themselves after allowing a conservatee’s pet die of starvation. This happened while they charged and paid themselves fees. How cruel. These people are not normal and have little concern for others.

I would be skeptical about recommending the services of Carolyn Young. As was previously posted and alluded to by Erin, Carolyn Young and her professional family have been mentioned in a variety of commentaries in an unflattering light. As Erin mentions, they appear to have friends who are allegedly biased in their favor, such as Judge Robie, supposedly a friend of the family, one of her son’s reportedly interned with him and the Judge has apparently made court decisions favorable to them, in my opinion. Carolyn Young had sued CBS for portraying her and her minions in an unfavorable fashion, but lost the case.

This woman, her firm and her stable of attorneys (which your loved one will pay for) have a flagrant disregard for court orders and the truth. Countless victims have attempted to come forward to the court in search of justice for themselves and/or their families only to be beaten back by a probate judge, Stephen Gervercer, who is a rubber-stamper of all things Carolyn Young and his cronies from Lincoln Law School. One day, hopefully sooner than later, she will face a a judicial system interested in upholding the law. If you have any reservations about securing her “services” to assist with a loved one, follow your gut and run the other direction, quickly. She cares nothing for her clients, only their bank accounts and to-date, she has had carte blanc with Sacramento Probate Court. Take a look at all of the negative reviews, some 14 of them here on Yelp have been pulled by her attorneys! If you must engage a fiduciary or a professional conservator, there are other options. Carolyn Young does not possess an ounce of integrity or honesty, please go elsewhere.

I can see Ms Young orchestrated her wealthier “clients” to write favorable reviews while having more of the less favorable ones removed. Maybe they think $1500 a month is a drop in the bucket. My Dad did not have hundreds of thousands of dollars that could even be stolen – by anyone BUT Ms Young. She charged my Dad close to $1500 a month to pay his mortgage and utility bills. Instead of making a phone call and transferring his personal funds, she would go to the bank, pull out cash while talking to a banker, then bring this 84 year old blind man CASH!!! Which he then had to have redeposited into his bank account. Was that necessary? Only if she was maximizing her own payday. It’s funny how she could fault family and caregivers for being paid while she sits at a desk being paid $100t an HOUR. And the family and caregivers are the greedy ones taking advantage??? Caroline Young claims to have hundreds of client, most of which have been appointed by probate court judges over the objection of family, yet there are only 3 employees?? Mmmm. There are not enough hours in a day to service that many accounts. She’s a magician, all while she and her son and daughter drive $120,000 cars- which they park down the street so her clients can’t see where their money goes -and the family are the greedy ones ! YEAH RIGHT!-

Carolyn Young and her firm attempted to prevent me from receiving a bequest left to me by a relative several years ago . Her conduct and comments were unprofessional and created unnecessary delays and stress for me as a rightful heir. I would definitely NOT recommend this company. She turned what should have been a loving gesture from my relative into a bitter memory of the fight to acquire the bequest.

Although it’s been a number of years since Carolyn M. Young Fiduciary Services managed my parent’s estate, I see in reading another Yelp review that her MO has not changed. During her tenure with our family, she used my family’s assets as her own personal ATM. Her mismanagement, obfuscations, and manipulations were deliberately designed to increase her already ample fees. Using our funds to hire lawyers to use against us, delaying accounting, delaying payments to heirs, were but a few of the many tactics she used to line her own pockets. So know that there’s consistency in her manner of doing business. Use her at your peril!! And thank you Yelp for the opportunity warn others about this fraudulent company.
